HD Shower Trays
ProTile™ HD Shower Trays are specifically designed to create barrier-free shower installations, especially in remodel situations, where cutting into or lowering floor joists just isn’t a practical option. ProTile™ Shower Tray HD, with a perimeter thickness of 1 1/2”, can span up to 17.5”, while supporting loads up to 660 lbs. Simply install ledger boards and solid bridging 3/4” below the top surface of the floor joists to ensure all perimeter edges of the shower tray are fully supported. Panel the sections between the joists using the previously removed subfloor material to create a level and fully supported substrate. Secure the HD shower tray to the resulting surface using the same installation technique outlined for HD1 shower trays. ProTile™ Shower HD Trays can eliminate the need for shower curbs or ramps, making showers easier to access.
ProTile™ HD and ProTile™ HD1 shower trays are designed to accommodate the heavy point loads that occur when wheelchairs are rolled across small mosaic tiles and pebbles, without requiring the use of expensive epoxy thinsets and grouts.
