ProTile™ Building Panels can be easily installed over metal or wood frameworks to create a waterproof tileable substrate that is stable and customizable on the job site. On outside walls, ProTile™ Building Panels provide a thermal break that will help prevent condensation in the wall cavity. Because ProTile™ Building Panels are completely waterproof and conform to ANSI 118.10-2008, no additional waterproofing or vapor barriers are required when using ProTile™ Building Panels.
ProTile™ ½”, 5/8” and 1” thick Building Panels, along with our ½” VP1 Low Perm Building Panels, measure 64” in length and can be installed directly to your stud walls with no waste or cutting. ProTile™ Panels are attached to your framing with ProTile™ Screws and Washers and sealed with ProTile™ Joint Sealant for a waterproof shower assembly. ProTile™ Building Panels are also an ideal substrate for floors. ProTile™ Building Panels passed ASTM C627 (Robinson Floor Test) with an Extra Heavy Duty rating. ProTile™ Panels can be used as a tileable crack-isolation membrane and comply with ANSI 118.12. When installed under floor heating systems, ProTile™ Building Panels provide the thermal break and insulation qualities recommended by floor heat manufacturers to make their systems more efficient and more comfortable. ProTile™ Building Panels are compatible with all heated water, warm wire and radiant under floor heating systems.
